Tom: Yeah,I was a big fan of South Park, when I was in school which seems like a whileago now…And all I know about this, is that we’ve spent three days shooting theAvengers in New York in the summer of 2011, and we went in Albuquerque in NewMexico and Cleveland in Ohio. And as soon as we arrived in New York, all ofanyone wanted to do was going to this, and there was like tickets going on theInternet for 1000 dollars. And you know people was saying that “Wow, it was allsold out! How can we go?” I didn’t get to see it. And I have never seen it. So I’m just really excited to see it, like people everyone I’ve spoken to just saidit’s like people was crying to laugh or so…Yeah. I’m really looking forwardsto. J: Do you shock easily? Tom: Uhmmmmm…probably not. I quite like a bit of, I quit like a bit of… when something’s sowrong that it’s right, you know? J: And howabout musical? Do you like Musicals? Tom: Yeah,I mean, I’m not like a diehard fun of musicals. My favorite is a kind of theold ones, like Guys and Dolls, Singing in the Rain. Guys and doll that I love,I just, I love to do that one day maybe.
J:Wonderful work you have just been doing with UNICEF. Can you just talk a littlebit about that? I mean a fantastic trip, I think it’s really great to see yousupport such a wonderful course Tom: Well,UNICEF is, my work with them is a, has been one of the most life changing thingI have ever done. And what it gives me was a new prospective on our collectiveresponsibility for the state of our world. It’s a very very small world now. Itraveled to Guinea in West Africa. It took me about 6 hours to get there byplane. It’s…you know…a couple of hours further than the south of Spain. And assoon as I landed, just the level of the state of poverty was shocking, and jet the level of joy that I saw among veryvery poor people were…It rearrange your head truly, and makes you reassess yourpoverty and your complains and your prospective, so I’m very lucky that I havebeen allowed to see that. Ummm, and all I can do is just spread the word reallyto help the people, to help make people aware what they do, and you know, basically all will clap it together and make it right. And it’s absolutelypossible that we can eradicate hunger from our world. It’s just thrilling thatin George Osborne’s budget yesterday that he capture the promise that 0.7% ofnational income will go on foreign aid, so yeah. I feel very lucky.
J: You’vegot so much stuff coming up at this moment. “Thor: the dark world”, I guess, the thing you were most excited about at the moment coming up the next. Whathas that been like? What fan can expect in that overall? I mean I have seen anew director coming on board. It’s slightly changing in time maybe? Tom:Uhrrrrrrr, ehehehe, yeah, I mean, what can I say? I just want to reassure youthat’s gonna be great. And you know it’s darker as any respect supposed as inturn. And Alan Taylor‘s vision was tremendous. It’s really hard to say. I wishI could tell you but I just want to, I kind of want to hold it back so thatyou’re… so that It’s new when you see it, you know? And I know that it will beexciting, but I’m not going to say too much. J: You andChris have cultivated such a great relationship now over a couple of films. Tom: Yeah Tom:对 J: Do youthink we will going to get of…to see this kind of a combination of that in someprospect? Tom: Uhrrrrrrrrrrr….(laugh) Sorry, I… I don’t know, it’s so hard to say. There’s a development, there’s a logical or perhaps surprising development that I hope will bepleasing.
J: A finalquestion, do you have a message for all the lovely fan out there for all thepeople love to enjoy your work so much? Tom: LoveYOU ALL. It’s very, very old here in London and I hope you’re keeping warm.
