我是吧里的新人,以前很少来吧里..也很少关心Adam的新闻,只关注他的音乐.

我偶尔会上英文google搜些欧美歌手的音乐和新闻.
无意中发现有看到有好些owl city的美国歌迷在网络上提问说Vanilla Twilight是不是Adam写给他过世的女朋友,表达他的思念..
其实这个说法也好像没有得到Adam本人的证实,都是歌迷自己说是,据说是车祸,但也有歌迷说不是,根本就没有死这回事.
不过觉得这个答案比较靠谱.
一开始有歌迷这样提问.

然后有这个回答,I've actually graduated High School with Adam Young and I still live in Owatonna, MN. Never have I heard anything about his girlfriend dieing.
I've heard from the band themselves (my friend's sister is playing violin for him right now) that he's actually dating the girl that Vanilla Twilight is about. In addition, he stated in an interview that Vanilla Twilight was written about a girl he loved in high school, who didn't die, but rather moved away. He also says that they've started talking again, and he's still in love.
"Haha, yeah. I met the most charming girl imaginable when I was in high school and most of my "cozy" songs are about her. She moved away to college for a few years and we kind of lost touch. She and I recently started talking to each other again and life has a way of reshaping sometimes. I'm absolutely crazy about her."
