                Abellion
                Melodarc
                Theressa
                Eda
                Ebba

Cave of Rushing Waters
                    Between wake and sleep, you enter the woods outside of town. You feel as if something is summoning you.
                    Dawn has yet to arrive. The sky is yet dark.
                    Walking through the darkness, you soon find the entrance to a cave.
                    Underneath the charred remains of a tree struck by lightning just the other day,
                    opens a gulfing mouth to the underworld.
                    It is pitch-black inside. You cannot see a thing.
                    …Yet, you have a premonition.
                    This cave is indeed summoning you.
                    You steel your heart and enter the cave…
                    [Cave of Rushing Waters]
                    You enter the cave
                    and descend through the steep and narrow tunnel.
                    After moving through many cracks and crevices,
                    at last, a cavern opens up.
                    Though it is dark inside,
                    the cave walls glow with a faint but wondrous light.
                    At least you don’t need to worry about bumping your head on the walls.
                    To observe your surroundings more clearly,
                    you light the lantern you are carrying.
                    The air is saturated with moisture, even the cave walls are dripping water.
                    The tunnel extends…
                    →MOVE
                    This is a cavern with a high ceiling.
                    You find a pickaxe stuck tightly in the wall.
                    If one has “strength”, one might be able to pull it out.
                    →MOVE
                    You walk into an open cavern.
                    The ground is covered with bat excrement and animal remains.
                    It is surprisingly soft to walk on.
                    Suddenly, something crawls to your feet!
                    →COMBAT
                    These caves appear to be inhabited by dangerous creatures.
                    If the situation is dire, it might be best to leave,
                    gather companion and resources, before exploring further.
                    →LEAVE

The Tale of the God-Emperor
                      1
                      A long, long time ago, Sherlock once said:
                      “There will be a time when a great king rises out of mankind.
                      “This man is the king of kings, the founder of the capital, the creator of laws, the extender of territory, and the bringer of prosperity.”
                      The prophesized king was Titus.
                      The answer as to why is obvious.
                      His deeds were in accordance with Sherlock’s prophecies.
                      He became the King of 阿尔迪亚;
                      He united the Eight Capitals;
                      He freed the citizens of 里加纳 from their oppressors;
                      He conquered the barbarians of the North;
                      He forged an alliance with the Dwarves and vanquished the traitorous Pygmies;
                      He conquered 邬;
                      He was welcomed by the 席巴 citizens as their leader;
                      He forged an alliance with 多斯;
                      He conquered the Elves and crushed the rebellion;
                      He was welcomed by 凯尔 as king;
                      He defeated the Dragon King;
                      He wed the Queen of 伯兰梅亚, and brought unity to her country;
                      He conquered the Giants;
                      He exiled the 艾兰卡人 into the wilderness;
                      He cleansed the holy land;
                      He founded the capital;
                      He taught man how to direct rivers and irrigate the land;
                      He taught man how to work iron and steel;
                      He taught man how to build;
                      He taught man the art of medicine;
                      He taught man mathematics and astrology;
                      He taught man the hidden secret of magic;
                      He wrote laws, carved onto stones that stood by every road;
                      He standardized the spoken and written language;
                      He standardized the units of measurement;
                      He standardized the means of worship;
                      He was gifted the title of Emperor by the people of 阿尔凯亚;
                      His great deeds are immortalized in history.
                      2
                      A long, long time ago, the world was filled with forests and mountains, between which wastelands and rivers lie.
                      The forests and mountains were where the races closer to the gods frolicked;
                      the humans were only allowed to till the wastelands and build cities out of mud.
                      There was a city named 阿尔凯亚. The city was in disarray, for the king was very feeble.
                      There came a time when the king begot a child.
                      But the child had an unusual appearance.
                      The king of 阿尔凯亚 was filled with unease and went to the temple for guidance.
                      “This babe shall grow to be a great hero. But if he ever reaches the throne of 阿尔凯亚, then surely he must slay his father.” So went the prophecy.
                      The king was fearful, so he placed the babe in a cradle, and sent the cradle down the stream.
                      Yet the River Goddess protected the babe,
                      For the Goddess loved the babe.
                      3.
                      At last, the babe was stopped by reeds covering the riverbank,
                      and was picked up by a shepherd.
                      The shepherds were filled with awe,
                      for they saw a sight that was verily described by an old prophecy.
                      “Then the sun shall gild the water
                      “To bless this holy, joyful festival
                      “Then the fish shall sing in laughter
                      “They bow in honor of his arrival”
                      Thus, he was raised by the shepherds.
                      When he was nine, he was able to slay lions in the wilderness.
                      When he was thirteen, he already knew the laws of heaven and earth, and outmatched the priests in wit.
                      4
                      Finally, the boy’s fame reached even the city of 阿尔凯亚
                      and he was retained as a scribe.
                      His good worked earned the him the approval of the 阿尔凯亚王,
                      so the king entrusted all the matters of state to him.
                      So four years passed. Then came a night,
                      where he and his colleague made a bet to see who was braver.
                      To show his courage, he climbed onto the 阿尔凯亚throne at night.
                      This was witnessed by the king himself,
                      who furiously reproached him for this act of treason.
                      The two argued and fought, during which the youth accidentally killed his king.
                      A bird flew over and screamed at him shrilly:
                      “Patricide! Patricide!”
                      This was how he came to know his identity.
                      5
                      The generals called for his conviction and he was forced to flee.
                      First, he fled to a village, the first place he ever ruled over.
                      But the soldiers slaughtered the villagers.
                      Then, he hid amongst the shepherds.
                      But the soldiers came right after him, slaughtering the shepherds also.
                      At last, he was forced into the wilderness, without home or shelter.
                      For four years he was in exile. For four years he honed himself.
                      Eventually, he arrived at the bank of the Great River.
                      There he met the River Goddess, who revealed to him his fate.
                      And the Goddess became his wife.
                      6.
                      He lived with the Goddess as time flowed by,
                      Until one day he had a revelation all of a sudden.
                      He decided to begin journeying. He was to establish his own kingdom.
                      He said:
                      “I am going. I am going to found a capital for the people.”
                      The Goddess said:
                      “You can’t go. You will forget me.”
                      But after learning that he had made up his mind and heart,
                      the Goddess gave him the Star of 伊泰利尔.
                      This artifact channels yet the Ancient Light,
                      and grants its wielder unlimited power and knowledge.
                      Through the Star of 伊泰利尔 he learned the secrets of magic.
                      He led his servant back to 阿尔凯亚 and brought his enemies to their knees.
                      Thus, he ascended the throne.

                            根据某默默关注的前辈的提醒,找到了关于阿尔凯亚、阿格迪乌、伊泰利尔的词源推测。
                            -----------
                            アルケア帝国
                            阿尔凯亚帝国
                            ネーミングの由来はギリシャ語arche(アルケー)の派生語archaia(アルカイア-アルケア/ラテン語archaeaアルカエア-アルケア)だろう。「始祖の(国)」「いにしえの(国)」ほどの意味。
                            帝国之名可能源自希腊语arche(阿尔凯)的派生词archaia(拉丁语archaea),意思相当于“始祖的(国家)”“古代的(国家)”。
                            またaga(アーガ)もギリシャ語だが、aga deum(アーガデウム)となるとラテン語になる。対格になっているので、この場合は「大いなる神(の都へ)」「聖なる神(の都へ)」くらいの意味だろうか。またはoppidum(城塞都市)を意識して「um」の語感を残しただけかも知れない。
                            另外,aga(阿格)也是希腊语词,在拉丁语中写作aga deum(阿格迪乌)。因为是宾格,在这种情况下大概是“(到)大神(的都城)”“(到)圣神(的都城)”的意思吧。还有,或许是想到了oppidum(城塞都市)一词,因而有点“um”的语感。
                            劇中ではバルスムスによって「アルケア人の都」という意味であると語られていた。
                            在剧情中,巴鲁斯穆斯说阿格迪乌的意思是“阿尔凯亚人的都城”。

                            关于伊泰利尔【注:イーテリオ也可音译为伊泰利奥】
                            ネーミングの出所はギリシャ語arche(アルケー)の対語telos(テロス)の派生語か?以下は推測。
                            命名的出处或许是希腊语arche的宾格telos的派生词?以下是推测。
                            H teleia(イー テリア)なら宝玉そのものが「完全なもの」、「成就」などの意味になる。
                            如果宝玉名为H teleia(伊泰利亚),那么就是“完全之物”“成就”之类的意思。
                            H teleios(イー テリオス)なら「完璧な人」、「成し遂げる人」など。女性の定冠詞が付いているのはアークフィアが女性神であることの強調か。ついでに動詞形はteleio(テリオ)。これらは全て古代ギリシャ語に由来するが、現代読みで対応した。
                            如果是H teleios(伊泰利奥斯),意思就是“完人”“有所成就之人”。加上女性定冠词,是要强调艾克薇尔是女神。另外,动词形式是teleio(泰利奥)。这些全都来自于古希腊语,但以现代读法来拼读。【注:h是古希腊语的定冠词】
