I think this year we have abetter car, but we have to make it work at its full potential. At the beginningof the year it is normal that you still have to get to know the car. Obviouslythe time that we have on track to try things is limited, but we have some ideasfor here that we are going to try. As for myself, I need to do my job and weneed to do our job as a team. We only look at ourselves and try to improve andI am confident, as the car has potential.
我想今年我们有一辆更好的赛车，但是我们必须要挖掘出她的全部潜力。在年初的时候你还需要了解你的赛车这很正常。显然我们把赛车驶上赛道来尝试一些东西的时间是有限的，但是我们对于自己想要做的尝试有些想法。至于我自己，我作为团队的一部分需要做好自己的工作。我们只关注自己并且会尽力提升，并且我有信心，因为我们的赛车有潜力。

It is difficult to say where we are just fromone day of practice but we did make some progress. In the long runs we can dobetter, so let’s see what happens tomorrow. We made some mistakes here andthere, but we tried to get the rhythm for qualifying. This is the time you needto try and take the car to the limit, especially this evening becauseconditions are the same as those you will have tomorrow and on Sunday night. Idon’t have any conclusions to draw after the results we got today. We focus onourselves and mostly try to get a better feeling with the car, as we still havesome work to do, but I think we can improve further.

I think we have a good base and the caris working”, Seb commented. “We have improved in our work on the car. In thebeginning it’s always a bit difficult, but now everything is getting better.So, it was nice to keep the car alive. I felt quite good from the start andmade some progress during the session. I am very happy with the last laps Idid, and also obviously with the result I got. I was really glad to see how thecar was responding today. We worked on the setup and tried different things. InAustralia the track is tricky and bumpy, so it was difficult to change too muchand draw any conclusions. But after the race and with the mileage we did, Ithink we understood the car better. It’s nice to see that we have built a verystrong car and that today we are able to put it on the front row, beatingeverybody else. It’s been a great result that the whole team deserves. However, the ‘big day’ is tomorrow.

Obviously, this is a great way tostart the season and it wasn’t expected. Obviously Australia was a differentrace and if you compare these two races, here we had the pace and won on ourown. So, I think it’s been much better, but it was a very tough race. It took awhile for the adrenaline to go, but for the next week we are not sure where weare going to be. It is difficult to predict with everything changing so much.In China it will be a different track and a different challenge, but we have toimprove our car and work on it. We still need to improve the balance. However,if we should have a similar feeling like here, then I think we should be in agood shape. We were losing a little bit at the end and Bottas was gettingcloser. We couldn’t wait and see what he was doing. So, in response to that wehad to come in first to protect the track as much as I could. We had targetedtwo stops and that’s why we had chosen Soft tires. But then we had to changestrategy; the tires were already wearing out, but then it seemed everything wasok. But after 10 or 12 laps, the tires got worse and the last five laps werevery tricky. It feels better winning here than in Australia, because here wehad the pace. So, I am very happy, even though it’s sad to see one of our guysgetting injured. I wish him to get well soon, I know he’s in very good handsnow.
