Jazzfest 2015 Weekend One! When life gives you rain, sometimes you just gotta dance in it.

The golden ticket!!! Anyone going to Jazz Fest weekend two, I highly recommend riding the Jazz Fest Express. We walked from the French quarter to the Canal Street pick up at the Sheraton Hotel. Buses ran all day, lines moved fast, and the volunteers were incredibly organized!

Did I mention you get to ride School buses on the Jazz Fest Express???

Our VIP seats. All the cool kids bring chairs to Jazz Fest. We picked ours up for $15.00 a piece at CVS!

I am NOT a fruity drink gal. However these Rum Punch drinks went down real easy  Totally worth it to look like a tourist if it means sipping on one of these. The locals go to cocktail was pouring their own vodka into the fresh, local pink lemonade.

Craft cocktails. Curry Empanadas. Chicken Liver Toasts. Melt in your mouth Beef Cheeks. My mouth is watering thinking about our dinner at one of my favorite spots in the Quarter. Sylvain. Make a reservation as they fill up fast!

Skip the cheesy souvenir shops of glitter masks and overpriced beads and head down to Frenchmen Art Market to buy local art and jewelry for keepsake you'll actually use and appreciate.

Another favorite on Frenchmen Street is The Spotted Cat  My husband and I headed here for our wedding's after party. You know it's a good time if I was willing to party there in my wedding dress! We checked out Jumbo Shrimp Jazz Band last Thursday night for some pre fest tunes!

Amen! There is no experience like the Gospel Tent at Jazz Fest! It also became a soulful safe haven when the rain and 60 mph winds hit last weekend ☔️ pics of that craziness to come! #jazzfest #rainorshine
