Macbeth. Eng3U. In the novel ‘Macbeth’ by Shakespeare, Macbeth is the most important main character, he is Scottish general and the thane of Glamis. From the beginning of the novel, Macbeth is a brave soldier and a powerful man, and he is very virtuous, until the three witches come to him and tell what is his future and what is going to happen to him. After their prophecy that he will be made thane of Cawdor comes true. Then he is going to change. He become a very superstition, ferocious and greedy person. In this play, it reveals about Macbeth is superstitious,therefor macbeth find witches actively to divine his later life after being the king of Scotland. Three apparitions appear and tells Macbeth separately. The first apparition says, “ Macbeth!Macbeth!Macbeth!beware Macduff. Beware the thane of Fife. Dismiss me. Enough"(4.1.71-72). The second apparition says that,“ Be bloody, blod, and resolute. Laught to scorn the power of man, for none of woman born shall harm macbeth"(4.1 79-81).
